Zenvo ST1

Well I'll be damned..

Still a prototype, but they've supposedly logged a few thousand test kilometers on a rolling chassis. Apparently the test mule did 0-100 in 3.2, and 0-200 in 8.9 in the first test. Engine is from a Corvette (I'm guessing it's the LS7) and has an Easton SC and GT47 turbo. Body parts are in production, and the first painted prototype should be ready in late December. There's more info on the site, and a shot of the engine in the PDF:

Looks like a really angry fish from the front. But it's not necessarily a bad thing, judging from the performance.

The only thing I'd be worried about is the price.

I love how the website advertises it as having "excessive power."

Price is in the 'lolkthxbye'-realm. It's 2m Euro on Danish plates, which should be 750k Euro delivered out of the country. Potential buyers have already been in contact. They plan on doing a production run of 15 a year; most of which they anticipate will go to the Middle-East.

Also, not just the engine, but the A/C, seats, ABS and ESP are from the Corvette as well. Transmission is from a Ford GT.

Still, 1100bhp in a sub-1400kg car? Menacing. And the looks are actually growing on me even though I'm not really a fan of six headlights.

Well 1100bhp is certainly too much power.

Exactly. Usually PR people are all over things like this.

This. It's actually kind of cool looking even if some parts stick out as a little odd.

No such thing. Only chassis that can't handle it.

Well if the thing is based off a corvette it must be pretty good.

I will be shocked if they use the Ls7 that motor is bored out pretty thin to be putting any real boost through it but that would be so awesome if they could pull it off and keep it reliable!

I love the looks of that car. It looks like it wants to eat all of your money.

It probably will eat all of your money

I actually really like it, but the power......If I wanted to set my entire body on fire while trapped inside a vehicular cage, I guess this would be the way.

I like it, is it me or does it have straight pipes out of the turbo?
