As I said already I'd rather have the Ferrari, I know the GT3 RS has near exact performance but just sitting in a Ferrari, the sound it makes, the F1 style gearbox, it just has to be the most wonderous experience in the world .... of motorsport/motoring

Plus I hate the rear engine setup :P

Oh, yes I forgot we aren't allowed to intimate that Ferrari aren't the greatest cars in the world

If you'd bother to check out your own link you'd find that, as previously mentioned, the Maseratis, and the quick Ferraris are in a different class, so the better had beat the Porsches, but oh dear:

11. Maassen/Luhr Freisinger Porsche 996 GT3 +5 laps N-GT
12. Drudi/Dor/Cadei BMS Ferrari 550 Maranello +5 laps GT
13. Kutemann/Daoudi/Casadei JMB Ferrari 575 Maranello +6 laps GT

I hope they have a good excuse for that.

If you look at the actual N-GT standings, in which Porsche compete:

1 Freisinger Yukos Motorsport - 138 (Porsche)
2 Freisinger Motorsport - 93.5 (Porsche)
3 G.P.C. Giesse Squadra Corse - 67 (Ferrari)
4 Proton Competition - 45 (Porsche)
5 Gruppe M Europe - 19.5 (Porsche)
6 Vonka Racing - 19 (Porsche)
7 AB Motorsport - 12 (Porsche)
8 JWR - 12 (Porsche)
9 Jens Petersen - 9 (Porsche)
10 Scuderia Ecosse - 5 (Ferrari)
11 Autorlando Sport - 5 (Porsche)
12 Mik Corse - 5 (Ferrari)
13 Seikel Motorsport - 3 (Porsche)
14 JVG Racing - 2 (Porsche)
15 Cirtek Motorsport - 2 (Porsche)
16 Machanek Racing - 1 (Porsche)

13 Porsches to 3 Ferraris, odd that the "inferior" Porsche is so much more popular.

Alfa and Ferrari might be part of the same parent company, but the successes of Alfa have nothing to do with Ferrari.

Before you try getting all "high and mighty" about Ferrari's success in the FIA GT category, you might want to remember that the most successful "Ferraris" are built by British engineering wonders Prodrive. The same people who brought you the SWRT and BAR.

I don't hate Ferrari for no reason. I don't "hate" Ferrari, I just think they have been very dissapointing of late. You wouldn't get me saying no to a F355. Unless it was an F1. Or a Barchetta.

According to Clarkson, " a Ferrari is a toned up version of God" and the Porsche is a good car to make you entertained on a track, to be honest, he said that it is " a very good car", but in order to be amazed on track, u should have a Ferrari 360 CS.
Maybe you should know that Jeremy Clarkson's views are his own opinion, and not the absolute truth.

Just because he says Ferrari is a scaled down version of God it doesn't make it true.

You are in a minority then.

I like the GT3 RS best. I don't like F1 style gearboxes and I think the Porsche makes a better sound. A 6 cylinder engine seems to appeal to me more than an 8 cylinder engine.

As much as love Ferrari I have to correct you here. Porsche has an extensive and impresive racing history also. Having said that...I'll take the CS, I'm just not a fan of rear engined cars.
