Yet you rated it last in your own comparison?

Cadillac is bringing back it's popularity and it's image with awesome cars like the XLR and CTS. the XLR rated 2nd for R+T's convertible GTs test. the cars were (best i can think of from my memory.)
1 porsche 911
2 XLR
3 SL500
4 Jag XKR
5 Maserati
6 Lexus SC430

dont you mean z8...the M3 convertable isnt in this categorie. i think he didnt add the z8 because its a more exclusive car.

i heard that mercedes helped develope the retracting hard top on this thing.

The Benz is the best of the bunch, but the others are also fine.
1. Mercedes-Benz SL 500
2. Cadillac XLR
3. Lexus SC 430
4. Porsche Carrera4 Cabrio
5. Jaguar XK8

I like the Lexus, it's the cheapest of the bunch. The Porsche and Jag get last because they are ragtops.

White Devil, are you insane? The M3 doesn't belong in that group.
M3 competes with cars like CLK 55 AMG, not the SL 500. BMW really has no car for this type of competition, unless you want to compare these cars with the M and Z4 roadsters.
The Z8 can't compete with this group either, because it's supposed to compete with cars like the SL 55 AMG and new SL 600.

1. SL500 + Car as a whole - Price
2. Porsche 911 C4 Cabrio + Reliability - Image
3. Jaguar XK8 + Good Looks - Age
4. Cadillac XLR + Improvement - American.
