Operation BMW Z4 Coupe Concept

Been working on this one lately...it's been a quite enjoyable project.

After searching several roofs which would be good candidates for the transformation the 350 Z roof seemed to fit the task best. Had to narrow it and shorten it...now I'm in the shaping phase. The side and rear windows completely reshaped as well as the rear deck area...as you can see it's all still in process. Still have to make the shape of the top of the roof which will make it more round like the real car.

When I rebuilt the Z4 roadster I used the Maisto diecast, this time it's the Motor Max version but still 1/24. They are very close in dimension and detail but the MM model has a seperate plastic front end which is a one piece clear part and they masked off the headlights before painting, the Maisto body is all metal. The MM includes seperate tails lenses where the Maisto lights had to be painted on.

As for the pics the one where the model is sitting on rims is the beginning roof, the rest are of the current stage of process.

What kit is the Z4? the maisto? the testors?
Why not make it the M coupe(just a suggestion)
