Release dates end of 2006/beginning 2007

good, and I hope Tamiya will not go the SLR way and put a diecast chassis plate underneath of the FXX

That's just a fact of life with Tamiya these days...it assists them in assembling the predecorated Masterworks series by eliminating parts and makes them more sturdy for shipping.

I picked up the SLR kit yesterday...it's simplified for sure but still very nice.

So far I've built two models with diecast chassis and it hasn't bothered me except when I want to modify something in the chassis area, working with metal is a pain in the arse.
