It was renamed TF, the same name as this classic MG.

If you're talking about the coupe that Matt thinks is called the GT; it's called the GT It's the concept car they built just before the company completely fell apart. If you are talking about the next series of MGFs in general ... carry on

British Racing Green is nice but red suits it just as good.

Realy like this small midengine sportscar.
The only problem is that I am a bit to tall for this car.

my girlfriend is planning on selling her kia picanto and therefore getting herself out of her finance situation, taking out a loan to buy this little car. Its a 2001 model 1.6 in silver. Any advise from anyone? I cant seem to find any reason why she shouldnt go for it. She's 19 so the insurance for the MG TF was quite high (just under £3000). This is basically the same car what with a different front end by the looks of it.

Ask if it has a had a new head gasket, if it has see if they know if it was run very much with the old one broken. If it was, walk away. The K tends to go through head gaskets and the head will warp. You lose all clamping force for the head then and it will just keep blowing gaskets.
If it doesn't go into reverse very well don't worry, the rod change on the PG1 box is rubbish. The syncro on 5th gear on the K in the Libra has gone and its probably cheaper to get a whole new box than a new syncro. Not sure how common it is but its just food for thought.
