If I'm not mistaken, this vehicle was imported to America sans powertrain, fitted with a Ford V8, and sold as the Laforza. For more info, check out this article I found while looking for pics: Laforza Road Test

Below: A Laforza. Not hi-res, but the best I could find.

For some info on this particularly original vehicle designed in 84 by the great Tom Tjaarda, you can go to my site: laforzafissore4x4.bravehost.com

I think that for the year (1984) it came out was much ahead of his time for the innovative design that produced many copies like the range P38 model year 94, the ISUZU trooper of the 98, and many other probably less “esthetically successful” design like the Mercedes M and new G (looks like a minivan) and Porsche/Volkswagen Cayenne/Tuareg 20 years later. They still retain many innovation that the Rayton Fissore introduced already 24 years ago, like:
1)Bumpers in composites painted as the body
2) absence of rail gutters over the roof
3)round and smooth shapes
4) luxuries interior completely cover with good quality Leather and wood inlay (Dash, doors panels center console, seats and headliner.
5) absence of heavy and old chrome trims or complex designed panels
6) accesories like electric windows, leather interior, air conditioning, electric mirrors, stereo hiding electrically, electric antenna, a-thermic glasses, fog lights etc..were stock. Most of the competitors had them as expensive optional and some of the leather interior trims were only for the seats!
7) Clean and simple design that make the car still very modern also today.

Ciao

I've seen one of those in bright red, with bumpers coloured red, too. Don't remember if it was Rayton or Magnum (though, the latter is more possible), but it looked way better than on pics.

Well, what to say henk4,..... you definitely have a higher standard of beauty in car design then me, since you drive a master peace of the contemporary automobile design like the Citroen C5 break.
Definitely a jewel of pleasing appearance with some reminiscence of the perfect creation of all, “THE EGG”

Faksta, it is actually truth that this particular car do not show so well in pictures. Must be the volume and proportion that do not show correctly on the paper but it is definitely more way more impressive in reality.
Some cars are not photogenic.
