Biga Concept
Biga was on display in the 1992 Turin Exhibition and Giugiaro explained the underlying approach: a miniature car about 2 meters long, one and a half meters tall with access from the rear door and hybrid traction (electric with a small diesel engine); not merely a “city car”, rather a “city own car” which the city administration or other body can make available to the general public; the “city own car” project includes dedicated parking spaces, rentals on a hourly basis and payment by credit card.
The whole system has been worked out in detail. Another challenge ready to come true. Research Prototype Body architecture: 4-seat Overall dimensions (mm): length 2030, width 1500, height 1861 Wheelbase, front and rear track: 1540, 1350, 1350 Engine position and drive: electric engine 1992 Biga #1 |

It looks like a Port a Potty on wheels.
![]() Still, I like the fact that someone tried to solve the space issue with cars and fuel economy. |

What a stupid place for a door. I see it has tires meant for a 5 year old's bike. Interesting concept though.
