I doubt it'll cost as much as an M5. More like an M3.

A used M5

Though, I've decided I would be willing to drive an IS 350...

The IS-F starts at $56,000. You can go on their site and build one, no need for price guessing.

Not good looking at all, leaving the normal IS look would be much better.

Is it true the Exausts are mock ups?

Edit: They are mockups, post #3, picture 5, how sad.

I read a comparo of this the M3, RS4, and C63 (I think) and the IS-F finished last.

It seems as though it needs some more work to get up to par with it's more experienced stablemates.

Also, I think it looks bad - the worst of those 4 surely - and like all Lexi, not very good looking to me.

not a big deal, the terminal part of an exhaust isn't functional but a mere aesthetic trick. as in the Honda Civic. so I really don't care if what I'm looking at it's the real terminal part or just a chromed oval, it's something like having four pipes, but just two exhaust manifolds as in nearly all the sports car. the best example is the Pagani Zonda, one big catalyst, but four terminals...but it's definitely a good looking example.

It's cheaper than all those

But it could definitely use some better suspension.

edit: I did a quick configuration of an IS350 how I liked it and it ended up being $46,000...not bad...

I thought it was right in between the price of an M3 and C63?

Depends on the configuration. The base model M3 has a L6 from a 3 series, so that brings the price down quite a bit (about $50,000 I believe).

The IS F can get expensive with options you want, and unfortunately you can only order one with 3 or 4 different option packages, you can't choose upgraded suspension or brakes or anything

Whereas you can get an M3, and get Dinan performance parts from the dealer...

I built an IS-F with just one of the lower option packages and it was $61,000+, that's more than an AMG C63 IIRC. Krazy.

The more I look into it, the worse the case for the IS-F looks...

The AMG C63 looks loads better than the IS-F
