Judging by the concept I'd say it is. Bear in mind that probably sooner or later this will also be available as a Coupe.

Germany -> West Germany -> NRW -> OWL -> GT
The M3 is restricted to 250kph (if you don't pay some extra money to the BMW M GmbH), this surely is not restricted.

Also there is a difference in the philosophy of the BMW M cars and Alpinas:

M cars are sportier and harder, Alpinas are faster, but with more comfort for long travels. So they are used for long drivings on the Autobahn here in Germany by some business-men, who don't like to get out of the car after 700kilometers with a bad back, like you can get in M models.

So I would buy an Alpina and not an M, because I'm more often on the Autobahn than on any racetracks (where M cars surely are better).

I dunno, I seem to be more inclined to the stock factory stuff. The twin turbo I-6 goes in the sedan anyway, so it should be plenty fast. I'll take one without I-Drive or Adaptive Steering please. Nice and simple.

I usually don't like modified cars at all, but Alpinas are most definitely an exception. They really are my kind of car, fast but comfortable.
