Ah the SL730. I remember this. IIRC there weren't many of these around and I guy even taught his 15year-old daughter to drive in one.
It also used to the same engine that went on to be used in the Zonda.

Whoaa?! That's an interesting fact. Imagine the torque of that thing. You could probably tow an elephant vertically up a cliff face.

The glass roof is a keeper, morons should put that in the current SL, and the use of single exhust?

the SL65 is more torky as we all know, its naturally aspirated wide spread torque which makes this more attractive, plus the Zonda one sounds fantastic!

You have to love Mercedes' understatement with this one. Only they could shove a single twin exhaust on a 7.3 SL. Reminds me of their CLK500 with one exhaust pipe- and there are Alfa Romeo, shoving quad pipes on all models of the Brera...

I think there the option of a glass roof in the current SL.

The CLK's had 2 pipes but concealed within the chrome tipped one, if you look closely you can see that there are 2 pipes in there.
