I really dispise the Chevy Optra's racing the WTCC, and what more is I cant belive that Chevy is letting their name be used in such vain on deawoo models...

it's their way to be recognize in europe by standard drivers. and i'm not so surprised about finding chevy's logo on daewoo cars, since chevy are not as luxurious as a lot of people think, then, their are quite better than daewoo...
 chevy was also oblige to buy totally daewoo and to use it's own name on daewoo's models. when gm was connected to fiat, they want to use the 1,3 liter JTD engine on the Matiz, but fiat wasn't of the same idea, thinking it would be against its own products to make such a choice. in order to use parts of the other manufacturer on a third one, they decided (at the time of the agreement) it would be necessary everyone approval, so, buying daewoo and replacing with chevy's cars, this barrier was exceeded, they thought. fiat sued gm and won the case during the divorce, and since gm didn't respect some others agreement (it was supposed to take a majority stake in fiat group, first of all) it was also sentenced to pay a fine of 1,3 billion $, IIRC.
