You really don't get F1 do you? Of course it is a Williams, and it has something that lets no doubt remaining: the O number that only Damon Hill ever used, because Senna had died and noone could use the number 1.
Look at the front of the car. There's a logo and it has a W. Maybe it's a Wenetton or a Werrari...

Are those the throttle bodies between the rear seats?
Those are the intake trumpets for the engine...

EDIT: if you look at the first pic, you can see them on the engine sitting between the van and F1 car...

He had a book where he claimed the Bagheera had centre driving position !!

The suspension is BASED ON the Williams F1 car. The chassis and the bodywork is a one-off c/f construction by Matra Engineering as a showcase for their capabilities and as a PR exercise for Renault. It was used to take celebrities and journos on fast laps of GP circuits. YES, it WAS driving flat out round corners with 4 people in it - with ear plugs to block the induction noise I'll try and get a 2Mb vid to post here

Sorry, I have to correct this:

Damon Hill used the "0" in 1993 and 1994, but not because Senna died!!!

In 1992 Nigel Mansell became World Champion and then went out of F1-business (but came back in later in 1994 and 97).
So the World Champion, who normally gets the "1" on his car, was out and Damon Hill gets the "0".
In 1993 we had the same game, but now with Alain Prost, who became World Champion and then went out of business.
So again Damon Hill gets the "0" for 1994.

Ayrton Senna died in 1994, so his dead is not reasonable for the "0" at the Williams.

You're absolutely right!! Senna started the season with number 2...

I'm affraid that there's one info there that could me more accurate.
In fact, the back seats were very rarely used. Renault engineers thought that the probability of a moving part of the engine braking through the block was too big for them to take the risk. It could always happen that they came in to the pits with a VIP in pieces...

ah, that's a new one.
The cited reason that goes around the Matra club is that with 4 up the weight balance was way wrong and it became VERY twitchy on the rear and and was uncontrollable. So with 4 people you coudl go only slow.
When the car is running their is a c/f cover fits over the engine complete enclosing it and providng controlled airflow ot the intakes from the front of the body.

Sorry will not be needed. Thank you for this link.
I have seen this car in Paris on a show. But when it goes around a track it looks so much better.

Wow, this is a really cool idea, a F1 car with a minivan body.

How many of these were ever built? I'd like to own one, just to beat all the other soccer moms' rides.
