USA, Colorado,
Locus Plethore

Canadian super car manufacturer Locus is ready to “drop a bomb” on the automotive industry with its new “750 hp” or “1300 hp” powered automobile named the HTT PLETHORE. The 2007 Locus PLETHORE, nicknamed the “Quebec Bomb”, is the first Canadian super car that features an exotic design matched by amazing power. Designed by Mr. Luc Chartrand, who is an electronic and composite material specialist, the PLETHORE is made completely of the lightweight racing material known as carbon fiber and has a central driving position just like the McLaren F1. Which means the driver puts on the show for its two other passengers which ride behind the driver. I believe that you could charge admission for such an experience. Mr. Chartrand passionately comments that:

“Not only does it offer incredible visibility from the central driver position, the car also provides room for as many as three people up to 6’6” in height… a first for this class of vehicle.”

With a price tag of $330, 000 CDN, one can easily see the Locus PLETHORE being snatched up by Professional NHL players and the like. Be quick though because there will only be a limit of “400 PLETHORE’s” produced per year with the first orders of the vehicle will be taken by the end of summer 2007.

Locus Technologies anticipates its creation will be ready for delivery in the fall, when a limited annual run of no more than 400 will each sell for $330,000 CDN. The 8.2-liter V8 produces 750 horsepower (and up to 1,300 hp, optionally) hooked to a Tremec six-speed manual.

Official Press Release will be coming soon.

weight = 1100 kilos

Bottom line, would you really want a supercar made in Canada?

SSC Ultimate Aero meets F430 and Vision SZR. Nice try but it doesn't work for me.

And the name sounds like it's a new Bondgirl.

It looks like every other cheaply-built supercar from unestablished brands.

etc etc.

Judging by the reviews I've read of the SSC Ultimate, cheaper isn't better. The panel fit is hideous and the interior looks stupidly cheap and even though it could go very fast, the brakes were so cheap it would do an inadequete job of stopping you ... hopefully the Canadians won't skimp on everything and rely purely on 'Looks! We has lotsa power Cleatus!' to sell their cars to Beverly HillBillys.

Supercars are supposed to be exclusive, a plethora of amateur, uninspiring mid-engined coupes is hardly going to help things. You couldn't tell that Locus from the SSC at speed, and then you've wasted your time making something 'different'.

A Zonda might not be that powerful or fast, but it is a "supercar".

Imo this car slightly resembles the Zonda viewing it from the side... I personally don't mind the looks of this car. It will be interesting to see it flop. Or who knows, maybe they'll sell their annual 400 cars.
