2009 Mansory Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR Renovatio

Hide-Out s'il vous plait

This is what MANSORY thinks a Merecedes-Benz McLaren SLR be should like. The modification includes replacing existing components for modified developments by MANSORY. Two examples include new high performance compressors and tailor-made intercoolers. There is also a sports air filter and modified engine management system.

The result is that the Renovatio is two tenths faster from zero to 100 km/h than the normal production version. The top speed increases to 340 kph. The Renovatio generates 880 Nm torque and to save weight, the MANSORY body components are made out of carbon. This is inline with the production car, which has a body already made out of this extremely light materials.

The awesome wheels seen on the Renovatio are one-piece turbine-wheels with five double-spokes, 9 x 20 at the front and 11.5 x 20 at the rear. MANSORY claim that the reduction in weight, thanks to the especially light forged wheels, improves the Renovatio’s braking distance, acceleration and handling. The car uses 255/30 Dunlop SP Sport Maxx tyres at the front and 325/25 at the rear.

The interior completes the overall look with special leather and special interior features, such as aluminium pedals, illuminated door tread plates and real carbon applications. If nothing else, it certainly is a way for SLR drivers who were staring to feel a bit ignored, or maybe overshadowed by the new roadster version, to get more people to notice them!
---- Specifications ----

Engine: 5.5 liter V8
Aspiration: Supercharger
Torque: 649 lb-ft
HP: 690 hp
HP/Liter: 125.5 hp per liter
0-62 mph: 3 seconds
Top Speed: 211 mph
EDIT: There are grammatical errors in the press release. , though I did get it from a thirdparty.

I might take some flak for this, but I think I like it.

That looks really cool actually! I wouldn't say it's good looking though...

Also, it looks kinda like my car in NFS carbon...

I think the only good thing of the SLR is the engine probably.

I know it's a matter of tastes but I really fail to see what's nice about the modifications, revolting is much more like it IMO.

You shouldn't be this harsh on the visually impaired.

Belongs in the 'WTF' thread.

But as the Ferrari salesman told me after someone ordered a nasty 612 Sessanta, 'there are no taste police here'.
