The IS-F is an amazing car with an unfortunate chin.

Can I just ask the dumb question:

Isn't the entire point of efficiency a removal off the unnecessary elements of a product? such as....say, luxury?

All this efficiency blunted with heavy electronics & sound deadening.

All in all then, a car to be seen to be doing something about the environment in.

There's something to be acknowledged about hybrid car owners.

They don't want to save the world, they just want you to believe they are saving it.

Although to be fair when it comes to stuff like tolls, congestion charging etc they actually make financial sense.

but for an enthusiast.....you'd have to be barking mad.

Why make something look like an Uglier Corolla Sedan?

You could also buy a diesel (not in the US though...).

On the other hand this is a clear indicator that Lexus has no interest whatsoever for the enthusiast.

Well lets face facts - Toyota is a business first & foremost.

As are most car companies. the Difference is how well they hide their true intent

I disagree. I really like the IS-F; I haven't driven one yet but I've sat in one and heard it and it seems to be a car designed to appeal to enthusiasts and the reviews are outstanding.

The IS-F can be a pseudo attempt at a sports saloon (altough why is it riced and has an auto?). But everything else from Lexus has no interest for the enthusiast whatsoever.

And it's a shame really, since the original IS was quite a good start for Lexus.

I read a comparo and it finished dead last up against the M3, C 63 AMG, and RS 4 I think it was so reviews may be outstanding but if they are then reviews for the other three are more than outstanding.

The Toyota Camry apparently is quite luxurious as it is. It can be had with leather and nav.

The difference between features & Luxury is not difficult to see when every car can be had with leather & nav.......
