Its not that expensive compare to the cars it competes with....the X3s and the Q5s of the world....if you are in the market for a car in that class the car is very well priced for the equipment....

In Japan there are no "Infiniti", but that does not mean the cars like these are priced like a Nissan......

Very very nice interior. I still hate crossovers immensely however.

I have never enjoyed the EX's looks... It leaves a feeling of an unfinished design, IMO. I can't define why exactly.

It's not the looks, it's the mechanicals.

Altough in my opinion this shouldn't be called a Skyline.

You guys are still getting over the fact that "Skyline" is just a model name. It had something awesome like a GT-R that used to be associated with that. But it had always had a normal-ish line of cars with that name...

This:
2008 Infiniti EX Photos, 360s - Infiniti USA

looks and builts from this:
2009 Infiniti G37 Sedan Photos & 360s - Infiniti USA

Much like you can have M3, and you can have X3....

I don't know, but I always thought that the Skyline was a classic line of sports saloons, GT-R aside.

Am I wrong?

rear visibility is probably 100 times better, which isn't a reason to buy this perhaps, but another one not to buy the X6.

Like 3 series has always been a sports sedan/coupe, but for marketing sake they still made the X3 crossover. Its a model tie-in, which is not entirely unreasonable since it is for all intends and purpose, based on the same car.

Yes but the X3 isn't a 3 series, it's branded as another car. Whereas this isn't.

Prefix vs Suffix name addon. X3 and M3 vs Skyline crossover and Skyline Coupe

AFAIK X3 is based on the 3 series platform, much like this is based on the Skyline platform.

I know. But still somewhat BMW has managed to differenciate their cars more than Nissan.

But we are nitpicking here.

I really find it weird that carmakers are saturating the market with crossovers. It's come to a point where I'm not even sure what the EX is competing with. It doesn't seem like a softroader, but maybe it is a super soft roader? Like someone else said, it's very feminine, the look.

Bad decision, shoud have left the Skyline name with the R34. Bad use of a badge that should have always been left as a memory.

in a lot of ways it makes perfect sense to me. the EX is something that answers questions that noone asked, because they didnt think to ask it.

i see it as a large hatchback/small estate, that has been made a bit taller to give a higher driving position which is one of the selling points of SUVs and large crossovers, and one of the reasons the R class and Caddy SRX didnt sell too well. it has no pretensions of going off road, but it has awd for driving on snowy roads, or on to the beach, or whatever yuppy women do that would require awd. but it is a good driving car, with a great engine, built on a very capable platform.

so what i'm saying is it takes all of the positives of driving an SUV, and gets rid of any pretensions of what it will unlikely every be used for. it couples these positives with all of the capabilities of the stellar G35/7 (not that I'm biased).
