Nissan Skyline Crossover

TOKYO (Apr. 16, 2009)--Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced the release of its all-new Skyline Crossover this summer.

The all-new Skyline Crossover makes its foray into the crossover segment with a unique and distinctive design, that arrives from a fusion of a coupe with an SUV. The luxury crossover utilizes smooth, soft-to-the-touch and high-quality materials to provide an elegant and personalized interior space.

Powered by a VQ37VHR engine with VVEL technology, the powertrain delivers high response and high torque for an exhilirating driving experience. The powertain also offers cleaner emissions and good fuel-efficiency. Powerful, seamless and continuous acceleration is realized by mating the powertrain to a 7-speed automatic transmission with a manual shift mode. Stable handling and supple ride comfort are optimally balanced for a pleasurable drive.

The all-new Skyline Crossover will be showcased at Nissan Galleries nationwide starting April 18, 2009.

interesting... releasing the EX35 as a skyline. can't say i disapprove, but i think it woudl be better served as an independent model.

meh, the front looks quite similar, so now that the Gt-R is a separated model, this males somehow sense as the "wagon" version of the sedan and the coupe.

I think the EX35 makes as much sense as a BMW X6. So not very. Then again it's not as big, but in my opinion they're in the same class.

its much more like a Volvo XV70 or an Audi A6 Allroad. Like a lifted estate rather than an SUV, it isn't really spacious though. unlike the X6, it is a reasonable size and can fit in parking spaces.

It's still a very feminine car. I'm sorry to say.

Although the old FX45 is a fricken cool car. Bionic Cheetah Inspired design? I can believe that.

I suppose you're right. If younger gen-x or gen-y.. not sure what the term is these days, had more money it'd be theirs. Skyline = glory in American translated Japanese.
