While we're on the topic of new jag vs old. What's everyone's take on the styling of the new XK coupe and convertibles? I must say, I found the previous generation to be far more elegant and timeless. That's really the only Jag that I cared about, and they managed to screw it up a little bit when they built the new one.

Agreed.
Some complained the old gen. aped the E-Type too obviously, but I say to them; "**** you, the E-Type is beautiful."
The new one definitely isn't bad, though. Aside from the front lip.

The last Jag I really liked was the E type. Since then not a whole lot. I've appreciated this new wave of jags as cars, but they don't make me want to run out and buy one.

The E-type is one of the world's most beautiful cars, and by looking somewhat similar, the previous XK was quite the stunner itself. I think its great that they tried to keep with that style when they made the car. Just, what were they thinking with the new one? The headlights don't work for me in the slightest. They are awkward to look at. The earlier XK will age better than the new one, because of the way the whole design flows together, I think.

Is that with a full sized spare tire?

Don't know, that's what they declare, being with or without a full sized tire.
Probably we should check each car configurator to know which has it or not.
It could also depends on the powerplant you choose in some cars.

The XF is fine if a little mainstream and the new XK isn't as elegant and as clean looking as the old one but it certainly isn't a bad looking car. This seems the less successful new Jag, but we'll see.

I personally was a big fan of the traditional low profile, three box Jaguar design, but I have to admit it had become a bit of a pardoy of itself unfortunately, so it was definitely time for a change.

I think 90% of people wouldn't recognize the two last gens even if parked side by side.

Your shots bo9agr?

I still don't like the rear end, but the c pillar is growing on me. Saw a shot of a white car, it looked just right (the pillar, not the white color).

It'd be better if it was the same color as the body.
