i love the Vignale bodied ferraris, and that one is particularly beautiful.

Near the middle of the middle of middle England.
Vignale? Very nice, they can't seem to make a body that isn't beautiful.

They vent the engine compartment. Revo, nice pics from the RM site. Sebring 1953 and the guy is one of the Yung brothers, a very interesting history of 0168ED is provided here: RM Auctions

Hard to believe this car was so badly kept after it was no longer a useful racer, and once suffered with a SBC lump! Considering it's race history why did a Corvette V8 end up in there? RM had a 166MM Spider in the same sale with the engine for this car. Deep pocket crowd, that... check out this auction notice: "NOTE: The original, ‘0168ED’ engine is installed in the 166MM Spider Scaglietti, also available at this sale, and presents a virtually unique opportunity to reunite the original engine with the 225S." $$$: eek:

Shaunessy, you might check with Alan Boe, historian for Cavallino Magazine. I don't have the issue in front of me but IIRC there were several photos published when this car was featured last year (or perhaps it was 2007?)
