WEll we all know rock is better than rap, with only run-dmc the only rap group to seriously dent the top 100 groups of all time. Here are my top 20 of all time, and yes they are mostly older groups.

greatest guitarist of all time - Jimi Hendrix, undeniable and will always be king

greatest bass guitarist of all time - invented the bass slap, loud, proud and the greatest, only a few come close

greatest vocals - freddie mercury, cmon he is the champion

best duo - white stripes, bro and sis team up proved fantastic and payed off, hail to the seven nation army!

greatest song of all time - stairway to heaven, smooth alluring, then thumping conclusion.

best live band - muse, chili peppers or the stones, ive seen all 3 and lets just say i cant split them, though the chili peppers have more finesse and gpt the guts to go out and give it thier all.

Most memorable song - the who, cmon we have seen CSI or some of thier offshoots at least once.

Craziest song - ac / dc, big balls, fook that song suprised me the first time my ears heard it.

Not even close, their pathetic when compared to the top 20, they havent really made an impact on sales or career moves, theyve won the awards, but cmon theres no competition, 2day, unfortunately "" hip hop "" and "" rap "" as well as "" r n' b "" rule the music charts, and will for some time, it will take bands like the chilis, white stripes, jet and local bands all over the world to step up and take back control.

Personally i dont like linkin park, theylle never make my top 20.

hmm, the who no.1, interesting, if they made more hits and a better second album then perhaps, but the beatles are always an undeniably strong contender. Im not sure about germans yelling into the crowd, ramstein waay out of control, just like slipknot, cant play musical instruments really well, but still made it big coz of their style - damn them. Id like to see another liveAid for the tsuami victims, the situation is just as bad as the africa sitaution and effects several nations. Who wood create it, maybe geldof again but i would think Bono or some olda groups like the chilis, macartney, elton john etc.

Sorry, you didnt say who was your greatest bassist, only described him. I would my greatest bassist was Jaco Pastorius, I may not like his style that much but he was amazing. Greatest living bassist is Victor Wooten in my opinion.
