Quite a few Pink Floyd fans like myself .. I often find myself shouting "MONEY"
 Like 80s rock and some current "real" rock. Old rock I like is Queen, Black Sabbath, Motorhead etc Current rock I like (mainly alt) is Razorlight which is my favourite band at the moment, the Libertines, the Datsuns (modern but resembles 80s rock), the Killers, the Zutons (has a 60s style), Franz Ferdinand, Snow Patrol, Kaiser Chiefs, Kings of Leon. I really quite hate Green Day .. thats not friggin rock its pop! Just because it has guitars doesnt mean its rock! And the Darkness is rock for 10 yr olds .. copied from Queen! Most of the bands listed above are British but its basically Rock, very good. Edit : Oh and I like Blues and some Jazz .. recently bought the Blues Brothers Soundtrack .. masterpiece! Combine Egg Nog and Exiges tastes and you've got me.
I also love a bit of Jazz, and some decent quality hip hop. Men at work are also cool. And Matra, my mum likes Scissor Sisters aswell Also like The Eagles.. Overall my favourite is probably Hendrix's stuff.

Favorite bands; Nirvana, Radiohead, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, Rage Against the Machine and The Strokes. But genre-wise, I think its rock, mostly alternative though.

I am mostly in to alternative rock. These are some of my favourite bands (in no particular order):
the black keys bloc party interpol secret machines the strokes the fanatics pixies joy division the mint chicks kings of leon vast the shins I also enjoy a bit of jazz every once in a while and i often listen to the sunday jazz show on my fav. radio station.

pink floyd led zeppelin guns n roses metallica u2 live linkin park the music thats a sample of my taste which pretty much covers everthing. i like plenty of other music but those are my favorites at the moment. favorite songs from each band in order: time stairway to heaven november rain the unforgiven still havent found what i'm looking for dolphins cry numb welcome to the north
