Put Your Cell On The National Do Not Call List

In a few weeks, Cell Phone numbers will be givin to Telemarketers who will be required to call you.

To prevent this, I would highly suggest putting your cell phone number on the National Do Not Call Registry, which will prevent all calls after you have registered.

To register, call : 1-888-382-1222
Or, you can register at their site at: https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx

You might also want to consider registering your home if you havent done so already.

Thanks.

I hate telemarketers as well, but you have to remember that they are just people trying to make a living. I just hang up the phone right away and make them lose no time.

I can guarantee that this website isn't a scam, because it has .gov on the end of the URL. It's impossible to get that ending without approving it with the government.

i would prefer to disbelieve what i see on the NET without substantial proof.

i looked at the scambusters page again, and i would agree that it's a bit confusing. i stand corrected. i assumed the section regarding the "Do Not Call" list was referring to the scam, but it looks like it's the opposite. the section regarding the FTC's Do Not Call list is legit, and the sections below it are false.

either way, this list isn't effective in Canada, so no interest for me.

i find that hard to believe. i wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't ways around that problem.

No, that is the government's ending, only they and their programs can use it, such as: www.houes.gov or www.whitehouse.gov.

Oh great. Now I'll get calls at school.

This is Do not call is new to cell phones for me, but telemarkerters calling them isn't.

It isn't often, but people in school do get them on their cells. Anyways, I've done this already after hearing about it.
However, the damn buggers still manage to call sometimes.
