Debate poll?
I got to thinking, with our common UCP never-ending debates, should we post polls in seperate threads to determine the victor of each argument? It seems as if every debate rambles on for (p)ages and takes away from the thread, seeing as no one admits to defeat. Good/Bad idea?
I just think it's unneccessary for arguments to go on for 5 pages and lose the focus of the original point at hand. With an 'end' to the debate, things may clear up and who knows, maybe Matra and Fleet will be friends?

Personally I think it's a bad idea. Just because many people agree with something, doesn't mean they're right. Everyone deserves their right to an opinion and having a poll will only make the victors say "My side is right because more people agree to it" rather than giving a justification to their argument.

True. Making polls would take a little away from debates in threads. But the people who know nothing would be the ones who would vote and throw everything off. Making possibly the wrong person the winner of the arguement. People now a days think its thier way or no way. I agree with :Exige:.

Tried the taking the debate out into other polls and it doesn't always work and certainly it doesn't help any "next time"
 Soem folks like to play 'victim' once their exposed
