To be fair i think your car may just falsely advertise

i've driven a similar model, it was pokey, for sure, but the steering wheel sits really, really low to what i'm used to. like right on my thighs. curious.

other than that the steering was accurate, the engine sounded sweet and it handled.

I actually think you've got a fairly decent car, FPV.

Its a great car, just could do with a 6th gear, or a taller diff.

If i get enough money and another car i'd seriously consider swapping in an N14 engine/transmission and having a little fun with it.

Ive been thinking of a funny way to say this and failed, so i'll just come out with it...

Tony Cochranes been fired from the board of V8 Supercars Australia. It seems that PR he issued berating Network 10 and threat over the V8's involvement at next years Gran Prix didnt see the board of directors before it went to press.

John Hewson looks likely to fill his role, which could lead to the merging of TEGA and VESA

It's a VT. early VT (with the complete red swage across the back of the car).

Possibly an HSV of some description?

and just because dreams fade is no excuse not to have them - keep reaching for that rainbow!

speaking of another dream go bye bye...

bye bye LTD in syd... might have to settle for a "not so beautiful" example of a fairlane locally.

Oh and also. I saw what i think Nota mentioned earlier about a VN having HOLDEN embossed in its bumper. A Brown VN with the black bumpers in queanbo had HOLDEN embossed in red across the middle of the front bumper with the rego plate mounted to the side like mine, ive never seen anything like it before.

No BS tomorrow now the place i'm going has that many cars great models which need some TLC but could be traded or sold for more then you pay out.. I know of a Sorry Crisis don't read this.

A VY SV8 that went head first under a truck tore the guards front up, But strutal was in great condition still, With 65,000km.. $2500 repaired the car reg RWC and they sold it for $16,000.. The car was $8,900 to buy.. This type of thing happens all the time people make great money out of it.. Some cars don't need much work at all bargains everywhere.

Blue that was interesting about the VN bumper, so thanks for relating. Being such a rare item, you never know, it could even be the very same bumper I saw locally all those years ago?

Btw about a year ago I was sorely tempted myself by a NC2 Fairlane Ghia V8 that might have fitted your bill, another local ex-govvie in VGC all round. A tidy original with 200,000km and lots of receipts. Unfortunately I ummed & ahhed about it for a week or two, but in the meanwhile it went for a veritable song at about $2k. Want me to keep my eye out for similar towing candidates?

No good on that car i was looking into. I'll tell you guys now it was a 99 VTII Commodore executive Gen3.. $4500 with front damage.. When we got there we noticed the damage was a little to much to fix with ease or cheap.. Turns out it went under a truck very well and even ripped the engine cover in half and the suspension tower was sheared away from the body ****ed not to good..

Then we looked to the left and seen a VTII Berlina V6.. The front damage is about my VP damage.. They want $3300.. 147,00km It's already lowered with a very stiff suspension and what looks like a camber kit cause the wheels are nice and straight.. I have it on hold i'm going to grab it..
Got a pic to..
With this car we are going to fix it right and do the radiator support replacement.. Interior is mint boot condition is mint looks like no one has had something in it.. Body all over is pretty good the paint is also minor marks and them small little dints you see but overall very good.
I'm still pissed about the Gen3 i really was looking forward to getting it i was very excited going in and then my heart dropped and i was very disappointed.
