New Cell Phone : Nokia 6682

This past weekend I happened to be staying down at the beach (Seaside Heights) for Prom Weekend when I received a call from my mother. She stated that we were switching our family plan over from AT&T to Cingular and that when I got back I can get a new phone.

Well, I headed over there today and surveyed their selection for about 10 minutes, and decided on the Nokia.

What I'm asking of you guys is your 'not so professional' opinion... just if anyone's had experience with the phone and if it is good or not. A 2 hour discrepancy in the battery life or problems with bluetooth connectivity via Apple Software is not what I'm interested in, although it'd be nice to know.

BTW, cost me $263.94 after Taxes, but a 50 dollar rebate is in the mail towards my name. As of right now it's being charged until 5 p.m. tomorrow and then activated on 6/6/6! Then I can perform my first trial.

I think thats a little harsh, Johnny.

Congrats on the new phone. I have had experiance with a Nokia 6670 and it was a very good phone - Nokia's get a bad wrap but they're really not too bad.

Nah, no bragging. It was a nice hunk of change out of my wallet so I'd like to hear comments from people about it if they had any, that way I can return it/trade-it-in within the 30 day window. I'm humble, I swear.

The big problem with Nokias is that their battery life absolutely sucks compared to ericssons (I always buy (sony)ericsson). And most Nokias are hidious these days... The 6682 looks nice. But it's big no ? It looks big in the images.

It is quite big, and the battery life is supposed to be quite good according to reviews. My service allows me to use the phone for 30 days and then I can trade it in for another phone if I'm not satisfied, as long as it's in mint condition still. We'll see how it goes.

IMHO you can't go wrong with Nokia: good phones with user friendly menus. I've had others and always came back... Besides, everybody has a Razr now.

I get bored of seeing the same thing very quickly

My folks have been using Nokias for years and I'd like to see some change, so I'm just going to go and get a W800i. It's got a better camera, a torch, radio, good built-in memory, extended memory, lens protector and mp3 playback. I can't figure out why Nokia hasn't come out with anything that could get lose to it's performance.
