1.48 Euro for regular, 1.17 for diesel. These are the prices mostly quoted by motorway based stations. Rebates of up to 8-10 cents can be found if you select carefully.

interesting, close enough to make the extra efficiency of a diesel worthwhile then.
for some reason here the diesel is considerably more expensive, like a $1.50 a litre (1.40 for 98 ron unleaded)
i don't know why LPG is so much cheaper (50 cents a litre) or why the gov't is trying to get more peopel to use it.

being a cynic: LPG is a waste product of the oil refinery process, are comes free with the extracting of crude oil. It's value is limited, and if governments would apply proportionate tax levels on a low market value product, they would see their tax income dwindle....

Prices of diesel fuel tend to be higher in countries where refinery configuration is clearly aiming at producing for petrol from the barrel. (depends on the secondary refinery process applied). Our advantageous diesel price is partly resulting from our great national interest in the European trucking business and we want to keep our competitive position.

Th European Commission has officially announced that it's initial plans for biofuel were going to put an intolerable strain on agricultural resources, so they will be scaled down considerably.

Bear in mind that the 118i and 118d cost exactly the same, so theoretically the diesel makes sense from day one.
