Need Help: Toronto

Me and a couple of friends are thinking of going up to Toronto and maybe Montreal next weekend but, we're not sure where to stay if we go.

My one friend thinks we should go by way of a youth hostel, but I'm thinking it's better if we just go to a hotel and get a 4-person room, and then split the price. We're staying for 2 nights, 3 days.

If anyone has any recommendations or ideas I'd be quite grateful, seeing as online research is a pain in the ass sometimes.

I'm not sure about Toronto, but I've stayed in this hostel in Montréal.

Hostels are generally better because they're way cheaper, and saving money = awesome. Also, if you stay at a hostel it'll be more likely for you to be surrounded by young and cool people.

If the prices look similar, a hotel could be good as well though. They're generally a lot easier to deal with.

As for hotels, there are plenty lying about but I suggest staying downtown and the best one, which still cheap is the Hilton Hotel. Check the following site for more information: http://www.toronto.com/hotels

There are tons of brand name hotel chains in Montreal that are good.

If your going to Montreal try to stay near Saint Catherine Street which is home to many strip clubs and bars, in other words it totally kicks major ass.

I've heard that Toronto has some of the best looking strippers in the world. Good enough that Bon Jovi used to fly up just to go to their clubs.

Good choice, Toronto is an awesome city. Try the Strathcona (http://www.thestrathconahotel.com/). It's a good value, and is right downtown. I stayed there last year for new years.

I know some of them don't even ID girls. I've seen 13 year olds get in before, its sad really.

That's because girls attract more people to the club. Rocke on the other hand tends to repel crowds like a skunk, so you can be pretty sure they'd check just in case they'd get to kick him out
