Does anyone have experience converting MP3 files to MID? If so what is a good program to use?

I wouldn't wanna start a new thread on this, but since it's file conversion;

What the hell is BIN, DAT file? or ISO or whatever in taht matter. I kinda understand they're some sort of format where you burn them on CDs to be watched as a movie.

Are there any player or converter that i could use to use them on PC ?

You are referring to the crapy sound of normal samplers, that we usually have in our computers, they read notes and play, let's say, trumpet, but not very realistically.
However, if you have a MIDI, actually you have a lot of tracks of notes, one track per instrument. so you can use them in a good software like Cubase to create the music. I played long time ago with drums in Cubase usin Native Instruments Battery, and it was amazing, the sound is like a real drum, and you've got a track from each tom, snare, kick... so you can mixed them like you want, adjusting the volume, sound and pan of every part of the drum set.

The only drawback of this type of music is that you need to create every track tablature or drum pattern, which is very hard and exhausting. So if you can "read" the notes from a mp3, it's more fun, but i 've never done that way (I don't know if those softwares are accurate enough).

The easyest way IMO is to search the MIDI file of the song that you want to experiment with on the net

Many programmes can burn them. I personally use Alcohol 120% to burn and mount them.

The files are basically similar to what Winzip does. It is a wrapped combination of files and folders, just like on a CD/DVD.

If you burn the files, the folders and everything gets extracted/burned in a certain way, as they were when the files was created.

The main advantage IMO is that you can mount them in an application like Alcohol 120%. This means you create a "virtual" CD/DVD drive and you insert the files into them. This way you can easily test the integrity of the files before you burn them.

I hope this was clear enough for you. If not, i'll see the questions and/or problems here I guess....

If you mount them with one of the programmes that are able to do so, you can run it, like the burned CD/DVD is inserted. It works exactly the same

Alcohol 120% or Daemon tools work great to mount it.
