Real or Fake?

I stumbled across these two pictures of the jellyfish called Nemopilema Normurai and saw this. I first thought FAKE, but needed proof. I found what seems to be an unaltered photo of the jellyfish, but at closer glance, the location of the divers camer seemed to coorespond with a missing area of tentacles. Someone want to shed some light, mabey also a choppers point of view?

Growing up to 2 m (6 ft 7 inches) in diameter and weighing up to 200kg (440 lb), Nomura's Jellyfish reside primarily in the waters between China and Japan, primarily centralized in the Yellow Sea and East China Sea where they spawn.

from Wikipedia. due to that info i woudl suspect it's fake. plus the diver is lit a bit strangely, and looks like the edges were cleaned up by something... too sharp.

The diver is fake, and jellyfish could merely be the size of a lightbulb for all we know.

I thought the largest (known) jellyfish was the Lion's mane?! they can apparently grow as large as stated by 'sledgehammer', but i'm pretty sure this one's a fake

its the sandwich in the lower right that gives it away.... who the hell has a sandwich as their chop signature?

yeah i'm gonna say fake, although there are some big jellys out there, like this one featured in Discover Magazine.

The 1st picture is fake.

Interestingly, some of the largest animals on the planet are siphonophores - jelly-like colonial organisms (the Portuguese Man o' War is a siphonophore)- which can be up to 40-50m in length.

Other jelly fish can reach large sizes - the tentacles of the Lion's Mane can reach over 30m.
