who are these ladies? I thought I was about to enter a poll regarding ginger ale or bloody mary, and then I saw these innocent looking things. Obviously americans in the sixties were deprived of the likes such as Sophia Loren or Claudia Cardinale....

They were on a TV sitcom during the '60s ('64-'67). Only 98 episodes were made, but it's been in reruns constantly since it left the air. Essentially, it was about 7 people shipwrecked on a deserted island. Being a comdey, there were very few serious episodes. No, the women had nothing to do with drinks (not on the show, anyway).

Oh, we are well aware of Sophia. One of my Cadillac friends likes her a lot, but since he is older than I am, he remembers her much more than I do.

Thanks for the update, never heard of that sitcom. And La Loren is only 73 now, probably not much older than either Ginger or Mary.....

Yeah I actually read that on her Wiki page.

I generally like them significantly younger than that.

"Ginger" (Tina Louise) is 73 and "Mary Ann" (Dawn Wells) is now 69.

Here is the opening theme song:

Fortunately for us guys, the women did several "performances" on the show. Here is the best-known one:

No doubt one of the best things about that show was watching those two women.
