Congrats!

My Uncle and Grandpa both went to KU Law down here in KS. They said it was tough but they also had good times. Enjoy it, and don't get too stressed.

Yeah there are tons of fields of law out there. in addition to criminal, family and constitutional there is environmental, tax, business, communication, sports and entertainment, international, and a ton more im sure ive never even heard of.

one interesting new field that NU is on the forefont in is space law. i guess with everyone launching satelites and all that business there are starting to be quite a few lawsuits flying around.

But to answer your question constitutional law is basically seeing if a law is constitutional or unconstitution and a lot of it has to do with keeping the government in check (or the other side giving the government more power) so its interesting stuff and you know im all about limiting the government.

Family law is dealing more with personal issues. Divorces, marriages, child custody, paternity, child support, ect...

From what I know, Law School is a good experience, but the first year is complete hell. Good luck and congrats.
