Ok, how does this sound?

Jumbo shrimp, marinated overnight in tequilia and lime juice. Maybe a touch of garlic while they're cookijng.

Some medium cut filet mignons, wrapped in bacon, wiht a honey BBQ sauce.

Side dish ideas?

cous cous with some form of lemon/garlic tang?

Cant go past a lamb kebab with redwine and garlic marinade, nor a beef with lemon and rosmary dipping sauce.

Heres one that should get her to spend the night:
Mediterranean stuffed porkloin (no I've never actually visited Europe, so feel free to set me straight)
1.Butterfly cut pork tenderloin
2.beat flat with a spiked meat hammer. Get it as wide as possible without tearing meat.
3.Marinate for at least 4 hours. I have been using a storebought garlic marinade with much success.
4.Microwave 1/2 a pack of bacon per loin. Don't cook it all the way. If it is cooked enough to be edible, eat it and try again. (you still win )
5.lay baby spinach leaves down on top of loin then evenly distribute sundried tomatoes (diced) next cover with feta cheese.
6.Roll it up like cheech and chong then use a couple of tooth picks to temporarily hold it together.
7.Start wrapping with your semi-cooked bacon. Use tooth picks to secure the bacon. Make sure the bacon is secure and snug enough to hold everything together. Count your tooth pics as you go! They will have to be removed before you serve it.
8.Start grilling. I assume you already know how to use a grill. Baste and turn with tongs often. I go back and forth between using my garlic marinade and Tiger Sauce (sweet and spicy usually found next to the hot sauce.) Ultimately use whatever sauce you like. Grill for the longest possible time at the lowest possible temperature. Use the upper rack if you have one (should cook for minimum 2 hrs)
9. **** Buy a meat thermometer! You can get a cheap digital one for about $5 and use it for years. Pork should be pulled off the grill when the coldest part is 150F (66C). It starts to dry out at 160F (71C). If you haven't enjoyed white pork in the past it was probably overcooked. It is OK if its barely pink.
10.Pull of the grill, allow to cool for 5 min, remove toothpics, slice, serve, and graciously accept complements.

I've also gotten lucky following the same protocol exept stuffing with pineapple and mango, and marinating/ basting with teriyaki sauce.

My teriyaki sauce:
1 cup orange juice
1/2 cup soy sauce (none of that low sodium BS)
6 tablespoons sugar
2 table spoons sherry
2 minced garlic cloves
2 teaspoons of ginger powder, of course fresh ginger is always better
Mix thoroughly

Only noobs neglect to serve min 2 vegetables, starch, and desert.

.... and drink beer or wine when you grill, save the fruity malt beverages for your girl.

I've got one:

Cut up some potatoes. (preferably red)
Place in tin foil, but don't wrap yet.
Drop a bit of butter in.
Cut up some onions and toss em in.
Put some Johnny's Seasoned Salt in. Make sure it's a nice amount. And it HAS to be Johnny's or it will be icky.
Cook until done. Done is however you like them cooked. I prefer mine to be nice and soft, rather than crunchy.
Enjoy.

Also, a tip for cooking salmon if you have problems with it drying out; PUT SOME DAMN SOUR CREAM ON IT.

Drunken chicken (violating a chicken with a beer can) is actually quite good.

I recommend.

What I did once was coat the entire tenderloin/filet pretty liberally with cracked black pepper and salt and just put it on the grill as a log. Grill it on medium to medium-high heat for about 10 minutes and turn the loin so all sides get charred. When it's done let it sit for a couple of mins and then slice it down to 3/4" rounds in use for sandwiches. Top with goat cheese, red onions, lettuce, tomato, roasted red peppers and sauce of your choice on a nice toasted ciabatta bread.
