bike defloration
Yesterday I had my first taste of biking. and not some moped, a kawasaki something something. I went to the airfield with a friend who is the owner of this beast and he let me drive it (without helmets and such) => tears in ze eyes. Acceleration was savage and way better than anything I ever experienced in any car. I also have got a little question regarding bikes.
My car has a 4 cilinder that revs up to 7200 rpm, the bike has a 4 cilinder engine that revs to 12000 ish rpm. Why can't I have 12000 rpm?

Coz you need lots more torque and drive lots of ancillaries like heating, aircon, power steering, radio etc etc
Bike engines have always been ahead of car engines in engineering also as lightness and compactness are a number one need on a bike and not in a car. Try to find someone with any of the now many Lotus Seven copies that are bike engined. Z-cars twin engined one being the current "ultimate" But even a MegaBusa will frighten Then you have the Radical's which use the components fo the Hayebusa engine in a race come smooth road car.

I know it was dangerous , as I had never drivven a bike but My head was too fat for his helmet ![]() I got it up to 140 KMH and the tears prevented me from going faster. It certainly was a great experience stepping from a slow ass GTI onto a 2 wheeled rocket

Being only in Belgium you should hop across to the UK for the Stoneleigh Kit Car show. Hopefully there will be the Cyclone guys with their 2.0 V8 bike derived engines producing around 450bhp. They will rev to similar heights if you so wish.

I believe the engine was designed for a weathly businessman to put in his Stratos rep that he commutes to the south of France in. God bless people with thousands of pounds to burn on toys.

Y'know, when I first read the title, I thought someone was or had sex with bicycles.
Liez. Anyway, cool to see someone move to the high-power no-safety motorbike crowd; Darwin in action. :P ![]()

Christ mate, splitting at 140kmh would safer than doing it without a helmet, or even something to cover your eyes.
