Firefox 3

Today it was released, any thoughts so far? It seems to be lighter and browses through pages quicker imo...

I don't like the navigation toolbar, it records search results and web sites instead of only web sites like it used to. I still can't get used to it and can't find the option to change it.

I have my new Opera 9.5 and I love it. May give FF3 a chance later this week.

Changed my mind and just downloaded it. It's not bad, pretty clean looking which is good. Loads pages at a decent speed but it lacks some of the features I enjoyed in Opera. I'm going to wait for some plug-ins to come out in the coming weeks.

I've been using Firefox since 0.9b and Firefox 3 since the early betas. When the extensions I like became available I started using it as my regular browser and I like it a lot. None of the memory leaks like FF2 and it does seem a little faster. And for me, open source is a real priority.

First thing I did yesterday after downloading FF3, was opening the UCP Photo Comps... FF3 failed to brows them properly, so I'll stick to Opera 9.5.

I second that, it's hard to reach a homepage properly now... Other than that, I think it looks clean and it loads at a good speed. I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt for now.

I got it and is it really that much different?.

It's clean looking tabs are smaller take up less room, It seems to open as quick and stay smooth..

But in the long run is it a tarted up version?. But i don't mind it.

I don't like it.

Pictures won't load, and everything doesn't look right. Like the text boxes on this forum won't load properly, the size that they're supposed to be. Thumbnails for attached pictures won't show up. Everything's just wrong.

Can anyone help me with this?

Edit- Fixed it. I clicked off on automatically load images.

It looks like pretty much the same old indeed. I've had no problems so far, having tried every beta and RC since beta 3. The plugins that I need, speed dial and mouse gestures, are still far from being as good as the Opera features they try to imitate. Also, Opera still seems faster, especially when starting the browser, so I feel there's no reason to start using the new fx primarily.

just downloaded it, and everything's workin just fine. the only thing missing now are some extensions that need to be updated, but other than that, i have no complaints. loads up perfectly, and hasnt given any problems as yet.
