Favorite Book

What's y'alls favorite book? I don't know if you guys read a lot, I do. I was just interested in what kind of books members here read. I you would like to include a brief description of the books as well that would be cool, but nothing to give it away.

Personally my favorite books as of now is Kurt Vonnegut's "Slaughterhouse-Five." The book is basically about this guy, his life, and his interactions with an alien race called the Tralfamadorians, and its about time jumping (spontaneously jumping to different points in the time he existed). Very interesting read, that will make you think (especially about time and life/death).

Driving Ambition

Well I'm a newbie to this site so I'd like to say Hi to everyone first off. My favourite book would have to be "Driving Ambition" The Official Inside Story of the McLaren F1. I don't actually own the book myself but I have borrowed it from my neighbor who is a car nut (mini's in particular). It showcases the whole design and development process of an amazing supercar that I was fascinated by throughout my school days. The detail in the book is astounding, with great quality photographs. When I enquired about this book at the Pitstop Bookshop (store in Perth) they told me I could have one brought in from England for the hefty price of $199.95. Needless to say, I am still thinking about buying it despite the price tag just because it is such a great read.

I haven't read that many novels, but Clive Barker's "Abarat" would probably be my favorite.

Catch-22 and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas: A Savage Journey into the Heart of the American Dream are both on my list of books I want to read in my life time. I just got Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, so I be reading it soon, I loved the movie so I'm sure I love the book.
