they arent in the same league. enzo and murc are what? v12? this is a 4 cylinder! i mean jeez, thats just not fair!

im sure a battle between a 22B and a 360 and GT3 would end up in the subaru's favour, might just be wishful thinking, but the subaru (from a flat 4 engine) has 0-100 of FOUR seconds. and this car was made in 1998.

no Vector isn't dead. Vector Aeromotive yes, went bankrupt due to poormanagement. but Vector's founder Gerald Wiegert who was fired in 1993 when Vector was bought by a jamican company, went out and Formed Avtech Motors, which turned to Vector Supercars in 1999 (when Vector Aeromotive went bankrupt) which now is vector Motors, Wiegert is now working on a new car called the WX10. when will it be one sale, I don't know.

well the assests of Vector aeromotive has been bought by an company in Ohio called American aeromotive. They are trying to get Vector Aeromotive back in business but have not yet been able, and I hold out no hope of doing so. Well, Vector is still Alive thanks to the origional Vector man Gerald Wiegert, I have a feeling that his new company will be more successful because Henry Ford formed the Henry Ford motor corperation which he was forced from and wasn't all successful. he then formed Ford which now is one of the biggest corperations in the World. and Wiegert seems to be a modern repeat of the Henry Ford story.

Please note that I have a huge knowledge of Vector, bigger than you night of thought. if you have any questions of Vector you can PM them to me and I will answer them.

esperante, I would take that back if I were you. The W2 and W8 vehicles manage 600+ HP and top speeds of 230+ and the WX3&WX3R have 1200 HP and a TS of 260 MPH according to some websites but ithers claim they get 1000 HP and a 250 MPH TS, you can take true the specs of whever source you believe

But Karmann, even if the founder is still around, bankruptcy (even in the past) is hard ot get out of. John DeLorean got caught with some Maryjane after his company went bankrupt, and (briefly) brought back the company for a concept car called the DeLorean II (very similar to a Vector). Obviously, it never happened and DeLorean is still striving to bring back the company.

Vector at 230+ MPH? Highly doubt it. You say 'some website' tells you this? Well, some website of mine tells me the Koenigsegg CCS runs at 310.

TONS of websites say that the W2 and W8 go 230+ MPH and Gerald Wiegert is still around and HAS HAD THE NEW COMPANY VECTOR SUPERCARS FORMED SINCE 1993.

esperante, I'm not stupid. he is working on a new car which is coming along well that's how I know that Vector is still in the Business

Was the Vector actually driven at that speed in real life, as opposed to calculating it from the gearing?

well with the Avtech I don't know, but It is driven a lot by Wiegert, so I can say maybe. The W8 has been put through the Stress test.

I'm not stupid either. As you said above, not only can it go 230, but 260 plus? I really doubt this. I too, have TONS of websites that tell me a CC can go 290+ but we all know this isn't possible.

In the early nineties DeLorean still had a rolling start with the DeLorean II going along. The prototype car was expected to reach production very soon. Obviously, it didn't.
The physical company of DeLorean exists, but they never produced anything. A company can be formed, but that doesn't necessarily mean it makes automobiles. Seeing as the 'new and improved Vector' company has been around 11 years, though, makes me think that it's not gonna happen.

Don't take this personally, I love Vectors, but I just don't think anything is going to happen.

well esperante Vector ddid go through a stage foor a decade where it was Just the W2. Ive had been keeping in touch and Vector is making progress. The only problem is money. it is going slow because Wiegert needs some investors to provide him Money. if he can get the proper money and investors, he can speed it up.
