Presidential Election prediction...kinda....sorta

As I was watching the Washinton Redskins play the Green Bay Packers the sports casters made an interesting prediction. He said that when the Redskins win just before a presidential election the incumbant (current president) wins the election, and when they lose, the challanger wins. This has turned out to be true for the past 18 elections!!

Final score: Packers 28 - Redskins 14, Kerry is gonna win!!!! I hope. This is the first time ever I've been happy to see the Redskins lose.

I heard about that too...

Coincidence? I guess we'll see on Tuesday/Wednesday

Also, political analysts say that Kerry won the three debates, and that every candidate that wins all the debates ends up winning the elections…. But they also said that every president that has taken the US into a war has won the re-election… (Both are US history facts)

there's no way bush is winning. not only will all the democrats vote kerry (assumed to be 50% of the population), but there's tons of republicans against bush! this should be a landslide!

A landslide?? Hardly, I've seen CNN and BBC World reports where they interview people, and half say they are voting Bush Why? As they say: "He says what he believes and believes what he says" "If I met either of the candidates in person, I don't think I could talk to Kerry, but Bush is a regular guy just like me." And this is a doozy: "Bush is a good ol' boy like us" God help us!!

Exactly, this point of view regarding Bush is horrible. When people choose a president, you want to pick a strong leader, not a guy that you can hang-out with on a saturday night.

I believe 40% of eligible voters actually go out and vote. My parents aren't citizens and cant vote. For some weird reason they never registered for Citizenship in the United States.

Exactly, that's what worries me too. There are very serious issues at hand and people seem to be deciding who to vote for based on "I like him and not the other guy." Don't people think anymore??? This partly explains why even after Kerry won the three debates, why they are virtually tied.

Rockefella may be right but I'm not sure what the exact percentage is, but it is bellow 50% and that's very sad to me since not only do we have the freedom to vote, we're always telling the whole world how great democracy is and that they should all vote in their own countries. I guess people will take things for granted untill they lose them.

I'm going to vote at the Amrican Embassy in Mexico City. What about the other American members, are you gonna vote? I hope you do!!

The other day in my history class, this one girl, she's very book smart, but doesn't have much common sense said that she would vote for Bush given the chance. What pissed me off though was what she said... her words exactly, " After watching that debate a couple days ago, that guy (talking about Kerry), ummm I forgot his name, he has to do with Ketchup, well whatever, he's like a flip-flopper and he's boring." So I raise my hand and say, do you even consider voting in the future when you don't know the last name of the Democratic candidate for president in the United States, and she says, "Shut up."

Arizona
there are roughly 294 million people living in the United States

only 147 million are registered..

and only 73.5 million actually vote

that means it takes around 36 or more million to win the election

california almost has enough people to pull it off, and last time they voted, they voted for Arnold, who supports President Bush

i wouldnt count on baseball teams losing or winning games to deciding elections
