Not really very much time, and not really "for nothing"... first of all, I already acknowledged in the first line of my post that the actual scale engine is 103cc. So at the very least we know that, based on these calculations, there is something about the scaled engine which is different. As we can see, the engine isn't internally scaled perfecty - the bore is a bit smaller than 1:3 scale, the stroke is a bit longer than 1:3 scale, and the displacement is slightly less on the whole than if it had been true 1:3 internally.
He's completely forgiven of course - I'm sure there were many valid reasons for the change. Ideally it would be 1/3 the cylinder wall size, but surely there would be more than 1/3 the pressure, so things have to be adjusted to structurally cope in the case of the model.
