impressive! shame it has no gearbox, suspension...watered down compared to the old 8880. nice work there though

ive been trying to convince my wife to buy me the 1/10 F1 car for about a year now, but it hasnt happened yet.

looks very nice though. i havent seen this kit, even thought i get the lego catalogue.

I think I see springs for the suspension through the massive panel gaps.

I don't own the set though, so I wouldn't know.

It's still a nice set. I'm trying to create a car of my own through a large set that I dismantled, but I haven't got the right type of wheels. I wanted to make a sports car, but I only have bubble tires from a rock crawler. Not a good place to start off from.

Very nice, I love the fact that the 599 is featured in Gran Turismo HD as well. Just a totally amazing car. I love V12s.

Wow, interesting project. I loved Lego while growing up, I should probably do something like your 599 to give my childhood a last farewell!
