I'll put some new stuff on once I'm back from travelling. If you are slightly familiar with the UCP ties you'll not be surprised to see Tamiya 1/12 Mini Cooper, which I just could not finish in time, so it will be late june

Why not aftermarket wheels, I think they look great and very BMW-like.

They are matt aluminum.

I'll make a deal with you, you build a Z8 and put stock wheels on it if that's what you like.

The most important thing to remember in modeling is build to please yourself.

I like the wheels, they look somewhat tacky/blingy but they look good in general.

Of course. I fully respect this, cool stuff you make too. I just have something against non-original wheels (on real cars). I would never own a car with wheels that are not supplied by the manufacturer, because there is no car/aftermarket wheels combination that looks good.

My uncle has a 1987 ( I think) Supra with the most hideous stock wheels ever imaginable.

I never said all stock wheel/car combinations are good looking (especially not on 80ies cars..) but the thing with aftermarket wheels is that they are not designed for 1 specific car model in mind, they are designed to fit more or less with a great number of vehicles. Add to that the fact that 99% of the people who buy aftermarket buy wheels that are fugly and don't fit the car and they join the "big rimz" craze and buy whells who are waaay to big or their cars.

I said that there are no car/aftermarket wheel combinations that look good, well I take that back. That's not true, but it is a fact that it is VERY rare. The big problem is just that most people think that big wheel and shiny wheels are good looking. Things like putting 17" or bigger wheels on cars like Civics, Clio's, 206's etc. are just stupid.

Maybe it all comes down to taste, and I will never argue with someone else's taste since it's none of my business. But, a lot of folks have really weird taste.

i find that to be completely untrue lagonda. it all depends on what rims and what car. some are complete screw ups and some are great and really add to the look of the car.

and those rims are great. im looking at the stock rims on my z8 model and wishing i had those
