I agree with SPH. It looks ugly, like it was just in some sort of accident, but if it works, more power to you. If it works, it works and Ferrari can continue to dominate.

I have a hard time imagining a good looking F1 car, they all look exactly the same apart from some different wings, that's all.

But just imagine the F2001's nose on a F2003's body...

I reckon if you look at it closely,the new attachment has two lips to it, and the first one (the one nearest to the main wing) is angled down slightly. Thats blatently (!) going to direct and suck air under the car, adding more downforce. Also, they could not be for downforce at all, just aerodynamics, to alter and smooth the air flow around the bits of the car.
