I don't even need to watch the video to know that either the bike wasn't realy being pushed hard or the car wasn't in stock condition. And that's it...

obviously no STOCK car can beat a modded gixxer..

as for claims that the bike is faster than a hayabusa.. well thats all bs. maybe the guy should find a better bike to race. Ive seen videos of a guy ina similalry modded gts (but this one had a full body kit resembling the concept new race viper) and he raced 3 different bikes one of them being a laughing gas equiped busa and he could barely keep up with that bike. I think this gts is faster than that other one.. I wonder how this would hold up to that busa..

The guy makes this big fuss about it having street tyres and normal fuel, like it's in out of the showroom standard condition... Then at the end of the video he boasts its 1200ft/lb of torque. That's a huge amount! I think the standard was somewhere just shy of 500ft/lb. That's modded to hell and back! Racing about $20,000 or so worth of superbike. Bearly worth the video editing time if you ask me.

He got twin turbo's put on, hence the massive increase to 1200 ft/lb of torque.

Yeah I know, but I figured a turbo installation isn't neccessarily indacative of the power increase, since size and pressure can mean only a relatively small increase in power. In this case we're talking a 150% increase in power! (or thereabouts assuming the increase in power is about the same)

True, I looked on the hennessey to see what they did to get that kind of power, it is quite the list, http://www.hennesseyperformance.com/...ctionReq=Where

wow that bike gets smoked. I love that dodge, and when the speedo goes from about 0-130, that s*** is crazy

More like $13,000 maximum, if it's only a slip-on. And that's if he paid list on the bike. Which is very unlikely.
Which probably doesn't even cost the labour on he mods the Viper's had done to it.
I'm sure the second a corner comes up the bike would dissapear into the distance and the viper would suddenly remember he's driving a fat overweight barge with the handling agility of a supertanker.

Gixxer's are faster than the Busa up to speeds where the much better aero of the 'busa wins out. So up to 150 for SURE the Gixxer can take a 'busa, beyond that it's questionable - I'm meaning STOCK in both cases. The Gixxer is 50 kilos LIGHTER than the 'Busa, that's 30% BTW
Looking at the vid, the Gixxer rider's a woos
He needs to get his ass right up the tail of the bike and hug the tank to get the resistance down low enough not to have MAJOR effect at 100+ mph. The RIDER becomes the MAJOR component of drag once over 100 !! The bike is alos runnign a bubble screen. There's a LOT of acceleration being sucked up by the guys head and the bubble screen
A stock Gixxer is $10K LIST - you can get an '04 model with discounts Don't know about the 05 stuff yet ( I usually go trawl the bike shops once it warms up a little bit more over here in Scotladn )
That bike looks stock, there's no obvious changes on the air intakes and the can doesn't loko a top of the range so at best he's releasing 10bhp with it. Pu an Akro on and he coudl get a lot more and only add $1000 to the bike. The Viper guy likely paid more for the polish on his paint job.
A pretty pointless video unless you're a Viper fan and think it says anything.
NOW, let's see him go seek out someone who has spent the SAME amount of money on the bike as he has on the Viper We see the WSB 1000s on the Isle of Man and they are a LOT quicker than the already stock bikes. And you would STILL ahve change left over.
It's a nice looking Viper though and clearly goes like stink - just not as good as the owner is tryign to pu over perhaps

theres also a kickass video from nickslick.com of a viper vs a couple of bikes.
there are some busas with big bore\nitrous\lightened etc, and a modded zx12.
these race a 883RWHP viper with a paxton novl 2000 supercharger. I only have the free 30meg 20minute version but its well worth a watch.
