I've got that same Trig text book from my freshman year of college. It's like new, barely used and for sale, if anyone's interested.
 Is it a stock motor or was it worked? Final gear ratio?

Seems those tires have quite a bit to do with those numbers. Stock 302's ran 60 in just under 7 and the 1320 in about 14.5, so that's quite a bit of time with very little modification.
