Drop top TVR's - look americans

The next step in TVR’s Russian revolution arrives this summer, with the launch of the dramatic Tuscan 2 Convertible.

These are the first official pictures to be released by the factory, with views of the car with its canvas top up and down. The drop-top has undergone a series of changes since it was first revealed at last year’s British Motor Show, the most noticeable of which is a new dashboard. TVR also says it has set up the suspension geometry for comfort, although it is obviously still sporting. The fabric roof design apes that of the Griffith and the Chimera, with a removable central panel and soft fold-down rear portion.

Both the Tuscan and Tuscan S get straight-six engines: 350bhp 3.6- and 406bhp 4.0-litre units respectively. Prices are £2000 more than those of the car’s Targa sibling already on sale, which means £41,950 for the Tuscan Convertible and £51,995 for the S version.

TVR claims it has designed the interior with ease of conversion to left-hand drive as a key consideration, as the company looks to expand into Europe and America.

i think that's not the best idea - for me tvrs were always spartan and very fast british coupes, now they're going to change their image to something more like comfortable sportcar for the rich guy

Well TVR's arn't allowed in NZ anymore, they don't meet the regulations, and since Aussie has touger rules, I doubt they'll be allowed there either...

They'll need a new engine first.

And ABS... and airbags... and etc...

That example is on "factory" suspension which is used when they want to wheel the chassis in-build about the factory.

It'll be given a proper suspension set up once it is ready for delivery.
