The stats you give regarding the engine aren't necessarily true. As the GTR is essentially a kit-car you can source all kinds of different engines to use (as long as they fit). They range from small V8s giving around 300 bhp and go all the way to a supercharged version of the 6300cc Chevy V8 which gives over 630 bhp!!! The gearbox is also a bit of a variable. The recommended unit is the 5 speed transaxle from the Porsche 933, but rarer 6 speed high performance units can be installed. Whatever the combination of engine and gearbox used the performance will be devastating. The near racecar standard handling will give huge thrills whatever the powerplant, and a monster engine will just add to the fun. And all for around the price of a 996 C4S!
