Could be either:

a) User CP > Edit Your Details. Check the 'reset' case in the Custum User Title field, hit save changes.

b) User CP > Group Memberships. Change your user group to 'Full Members'.

You want the benefits, but you won't pay for it?
It's just a software problem that your avatar doesn't go back to normal when your subscription goes out.
It's easily corrected.
