Great place to learn anything automotive IMO, and a lot of fun....though not so good for your marks...lol

I'll be going to F-student next year again, I didn't go in 05 but went in 04. Toronto have won F. Student in 03 and 05, and finished 2nd in 02 and 04....so we have fond memory of English comp....

Edit - anyone know how long these little cars last? can you get one second hand? cause they seem like bitchin go karts!

They can last for years or only one year. Some may be durable (too heavy) and some may be cannibalized because they weren't that great. As for trying to buy one, they are usually property of the respective school and cannot be sold legally. We have broken parts from 15 years ago that never got thrown away because we didn't want people to steal them. Also, you shouldn't really refer to these as go karts, as that seems to imply that they have no suspension and a solid rear axle. fyi, The cars generally cost in the range of $40-$75k or more to build.

Ours tend to start breaking down after 1 year...2005 is now leaking like a champ sitting in the shop...lol
