The Lotus used inboard disks to reduce the unsprung weight.
A "brake-shaft" runs fromn the hub to the inboard disks which operate normally.
Given the need for cv joints in the "brake-shaft" and the shaft itself and the problem of "brake torque steer" it really didint' deliver everything it was hoped !!

It would be best if you woudl make it clear that these are death crashes
Not everyoen may remember Villeneuve's horrific accident.

Preferably, you woudln't post ANY of these as we dont' need to be remembered of how some of the great drivers from our memories lost their lives. But that is a PERSONAL preference and for me resolved by not comign back to this thread
