A question
Gnarles Barckley uses a design of ink splash in his music video, and it was made popular by the company volcom and by the mtv ads. I was wondering if anyone knew what this type of art was called?

The two images above are totally different.

the video is not based on any art style, its based on the Rorschach test.
A psychological test where the doctor asks the patient what they "see" in the ink.
